A fixed-income start-up just hired a 21-year ex-BlackRock portfolio manager to turbocharge its RIA sales, particularly to advisors relying on separately managed accounts.
On July 29, Dave Antonelli joined New York City fixed-income technology company IMTC as its new strategic accounts executive, according to a release.
Antonelli began working in BlackRock’s operations group in 2002, transferring to portfolio management in 2004. Most recently, he served as head of the firm’s New York ‘Core’ portfolio management team.
RIAs make up some 62% of IMTC’s clients. The firm declined to share its current level of AUM.
The 2015-founded firm also declined to answer whether it issued Antonelli shares as part of his compensation.
