Enables investment managers to connect to the trading venues and dealer relationships of their choice within a single portfolio management, order management and execution management platform.
New York, N.Y. – October 14, 2026 — IMTC, the fixed income technology platform trusted by buy-side portfolio managers, today announced IMTC Live Markets (ILM), a connectivity solution that lets investment managers determine where and how they execute fixed income trades.
Through ILM, buy-side firms connect directly to their preferred liquidity venues and dealers. They consume live market data and route trades to leading electronic communication networks (ECNs) as well as their existing bilateral dealer relationships, all within the IMTC platform.
WHY IT MATTERS
- Institutional investors increasingly seek flexibility in how they source liquidity across the fragmented fixed income marketplace. IMTC Live Markets places clients in control, allowing them to work with the execution venues and dealers that best align with their investment strategies, trading preferences, and client mandates.
- By combining live market access with IMTC’s portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, and order management capabilities, investment managers can proactively identify investment opportunities, construct optimized portfolios, and execute trades within a single integrated workflow.
HOW IT WORKS
IMTC Live Markets enables firms to consume live pricing and market data from the venues and dealers with which they already have relationships. Portfolio managers and traders can evaluate investment opportunities across multiple sources of liquidity, construct and optimize fixed income portfolios, stage and execute orders, and automatically route transactions through their preferred execution destinations.
Because execution is fully integrated with IMTC’s portfolio management platform, every proposed trade is evaluated against the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio objectives, compliance requirements, and client-specific mandates before execution. Once trades are completed, transaction details automatically flow back into the platform to support allocations, post-trade processing, compliance monitoring, reporting, and portfolio reconciliation.
The result is a seamless front-to-back workflow that connects portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, execution, and post-trade operations while preserving each client’s preferred trading relationships and execution model.
FROM IMTC CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER PATRICK DUFFNER

Q&A
What is IMTC Live Markets?
IMTC Live Markets (ILM) is a connectivity solution inside the IMTC platform. It connects buy-side firms directly to the electronic communication networks (ECNs) and dealer relationships they already use, brings live pricing and market data from those sources into IMTC, and routes orders to the execution destinations each firm prefers. Much of the underlying connectivity has been part of IMTC for years. ILM brings it together as one product, so portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, order routing, and post-trade processing sit in a single fixed income workflow.
Does IMTC Live Markets replace a firm’s existing dealer relationships?
No. Firms keep the venues, dealers, and execution arrangements they already have. ILM connects to those relationships rather than substituting for them. Orders created in IMTC are routed out to the client’s chosen venue or dealer, and execution takes place there under the client’s own arrangements. Each firm decides which sources to connect and where each order goes.
How does live pricing fit into portfolio decisions?
Live pricing and market data from a firm’s connected venues and dealers appear inside IMTC, in the same place portfolio managers and traders evaluate opportunities, construct and optimize portfolios, and stage orders. Managers can compare pricing across their own sources of liquidity without switching to a separate screen, which keeps the market view and the portfolio view together when a trade decision is being made.
How are compliance and client mandates handled?
Before an order is sent, each proposed trade is evaluated against the firm’s investment strategy, portfolio objectives, compliance requirements, and client-specific mandates. Because those checks run in the same platform where the trade was built, there is no rekeying of orders into a separate system between the portfolio decision and the routing step.
What happens after a trade is completed?
Once a trade is completed at the venue or with the dealer, transaction details flow back into IMTC automatically. That data supports allocations, post-trade processing, compliance monitoring, reporting, and portfolio reconciliation, so operations teams work from the same record the portfolio manager started with.
Who is IMTC Live Markets built for?
ILM is built for buy-side fixed income portfolio managers and traders at asset managers, wealth managers, and RIAs, particularly firms managing many accounts, models, or SMAs. It fits teams that want live market data and order routing in the same workflow as portfolio construction and compliance, while keeping the trading relationships they have spent years building.
