Leveraging IMTC’s integration with Orion, Moneta is consolidating fixed income portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, and reporting into a purpose-built bond platform, enabling the firm to expand its tax-aware SMA program while giving advisors clearer visibility into clients’ bond allocations across accounts.

In a recent survey, more than 92% of clients cited IMTC’s ability to help them scale operations as the primary reason for trusting IMTC with their business. Moneta joins more than 60 IMTC clients, including T. Rowe Price, Franklin Templeton, Lord Abbett and Nomura Asset Management.

Q&A

Why are RIAs choosing IMTC to manage fixed income accounts?

RIAs choose IMTC to bring a scalable fixed income SMA offering in-house, simplify how they manage bond portfolios, and deliver more customization with tighter control over it. IMTC consolidates portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, and reporting into one workflow, so teams can personalize at scale without adding operational overhead. The pull usually comes down to four things. They want to run a separately managed account program internally rather than outsourcing it, and grow it without proportional headcount. They want fixed income management simplified, with manual steps and disconnected tools replaced by a single platform. They want to offer clients more customization, from tax-aware construction to account-level preferences. And they want stronger controls around that customization, with pre-trade compliance and guardrails built into the same workflow so personalization never runs ahead of the rules. For a firm like Moneta, that combination is what supports moving beyond legacy systems while expanding an advisor-led fixed income program.

What does IMTC’s integration with Orion offer clients?

IMTC’s native integration with Orion keeps fixed income portfolios in sync automatically. Each morning, IMTC ingests portfolios, holdings, transactions, and more from Orion, so advisory teams spend their time managing money rather than moving files between systems. Firms take the solid foundation Orion provides for portfolio accounting, reporting, and multi-account rebalancing, then add a purpose-built layer of fixed income first technology that lets them run what-if analysis and allocation across accounts, embed pre- and post-trade guardrails, and put actionable workflows on their fixed income data and analytics. The integration provides start-of-day automation, blotter and lots reconciliation, and multi-asset sleeving.

How does IMTC help firms scale a tax-aware fixed income SMA program?

IMTC brings portfolio construction, optimization, compliance, order management, execution, and reporting into a single fixed income workflow, so firms can manage many personalized bond accounts without adding operational overhead. Orders move from idea to execution in one place, with live inventory visible at the point of decision and every trade staged, allocated, and checked against client guidelines before it reaches the market. That is why 92% of surveyed clients say IMTC enables them to scale operations with confidence, and it is what supports a firm like Moneta as it expands a tax-aware SMA program.
