In the last episode of the year, John Mizzi, IMTC’s VP of Marketing, joined Debtwire Radio’s ABS in Mind podcast for a discussion on the technology trends taking the financial markets by storm.
Mizzi and host Diana Asatryan—whose coverage includes fixed income, asset-backed securities (ABS) and FinTech—explored how cloud-based enterprise software can provide solutions for reporting and thus enable greater transparency. Mizzi noted that tools like distributed ledger technology (DLT) can introduce impactful change across the investment landscape. He stressed the need for tools that can be easily implemented and deployed to solve for investor painpoints like a lack of data standardization.
Mark Fontanilla, creator of the CRTx Index and former fixed income strategist, was also on the episode. Fontanilla discussed credit risk and the yield curve and highlighted key themes investors can expect to see in 2020, while providing predictions for which sectors will underperform.
